Well the Heat lost which means that we are only two games out of 8th.

As for the playoffs, I ran some numbers to try and gauge what our record would need to be over the final 44 games of the season to get a playoff spot based off of advances statistics.

1st place- 63 wins (unreachable

2nd place- 59 wins (unreachable)

3rd place- 56 wins (42-2 over the final 44)

4th place- 56 wins (42-2 over the final 44)

5th place- 44 wins (30-14 over the final 44)

6th place- 43 wins (29-15 over the final 44)

7th place- 38 wins (24-20 over the final 44)

8th place- 35 wins (21-23 over the final 44)

After looking at the standings this year, the top of the east is significantly better than it was last year, but the bottom is actually significantly worse which gives us a fighters chance.

To put it into perspective, here is how many wins each team had last year at the end of the year.

1st place- 56 wins

2nd place- 54 wins

3rd place- 48 wins

4th place- 48 wins

5th place- 44 wins

6th place - 44 wins

7th place- 43 wins

8th place- 38 wins

Here's to still believing in this team!!!

Incredibly, at 14-24, this team is only 1 game back of last year's pace at this point.

The problem is just as soon as this team figures out how to win, we have to add Lance and Al back into the mix, and it's no question those two have been the biggest flaws in the lineup to date.

This is a good test for Clifford. Assuming this lineup is still playing well when those two return, does he have the guts to bring Lance and Al off the bench so as not to disrupt the chemistry.

During this run, Kemba has played way too many minutes. At this rate he's going to get burned out. Once again, a legitimate backup PG should be a priority.

I was watching Minnesota a few nights ago and there is no doubt in my mind that we should have signed Mo Williams.

Mo is that vet point guard that Cliff loves, he knows Al (so Al could have recruited him), and he's a solid shooter and great distributor.

Oh, he also signed for only 750K more than Roberts.
