Part of me can't help but think that is factored into the final grading.

I'm taking for granted BPA really means BPA for the team in accordance with the views of the GM.

I envision Dave sits down with his staff and decides the following:

-what positions would the team benefit for there to be a talent change/upgrade

-what positions lack players of a desired skill set

After obtaining all the brainstorming of coaching staff, he sits with talent evaluators and develop a metrics system that combines player game film, measureables, interviews, potential, and desired qualities for team benefit(not need) into a viable ratings system.

At that point we take BPA no matter what and keeps eyes open for players with high ratings that drop, at which point you see draft day trades, ex. Trading for Bene or was it Boston?

If that player is an RB, then we take him, no matter how many OT's are on the board that the fans are in love with!

Dave said, address needs in FA and take BPA. Well, he wasn't able to address needs in FA, he did however draft BPA and fans were pissed but it worked. Here is to hoping he can actually address NEEDS in FA this year. Not sure how he is going to pull off getting a viable LT outside of Dunlap. I will wait and see!

My view of team needs:

1st-good vet DE. True night and day difference between winning a losing games. Hoping JPP or Morgan

2nd-viable LT. Allows Cam to relax some.

3rd-road grading RT. If cam can see it coming then he is fine. Rather have a player that can help or run game.

4th-DT depth. Our defense hinges upon getting the edges penetrating and set along with opening lanes for our middle 3. Hoping for a talent upgrade over Cole and to at least have a back up on par with Edwards.

Plenty of FA that can fill 1st, 3rd, and 4th need. Some will argue that SS and WR are needs, but if the 4 needs mentioned aren't filled then everyone else will seem subpar

If Dave is able to do that this year and we have needs lockup before the draft.. I have no problem with Gordon or a RB drafted early then..

But don't give me a early drafted Gordon and you still have Byron Bell, Roman Harper and Bersin being dependent on like this year again.

You can't pay for a draft pick?

How much money do we already have at a position where 1 players gets the bulk of the snaps??

Why use another resource like a early draft pick on a position you are already spending to much money on already..

Not to mention a devalued position like RB..

Don't like Kevin white but overall I like the draft. I believe we could double down on tackles with the talent in this draft. Safety would be a must draft in my opinion and this draft looks to have more than last year. We could find a good WR in any round again in this draft.
