Do we post the players we cut in this thread? If so I cut Troy Polamalu, Cortez Allen, Shawn Suisham, Cam Thomas. I detailed the contracts in the depth chart page.

 

if they play defense, you post the cuts in this thread.  if its an offensive player, or specialist, you put them in the other FA thread. also the detailed amounts, so i can update the capspace.

The Steelers have announced they have cut Safety Troy Polamalu, Defensive End Cam Thomas, and Corner Back Cortez Allen.

 

Troy Polamalu-> 16.25 (2 Years Remaining) -> $11.375 Savings

Cortez Allen-> 24.031 (4 Years Remaining) -> $12.016 Savings

Cam Thomas-> 2.5 (1 Year Remaining) -> $2 Savings

your #s are off. for example, Troy has a $8 cap hit in 2015. if you cut him, you are still on the books for 30% of his cap hit for this year. that is $2, saving $6.

yes.just check the rules about cuts, so they can be correct.

Sorry, I don't know why I read total cap number, Just curious why not factor in the actual dead cap money and cap savings figures.

 

And with this method it looks like we are using whole numbers.  Is everything being rounded down?  Say I cut three guys at $3.4, $4.4 and $0.3.

using whole numbers, makes it easier. everything is not rounding down as well. $3.4 and $4.4 will round down. but $4.5 would round up to $5.

The eagles will be cutting trent cole and cary williams. Save $8 on trent cole cut & Save $7 on cary williams cut. Eagles cap space is $54 now

Mathiaus Kiwanuka (4-3 OLB). He had a cap hit of $7 with 1 year remaining. Giants save $6.

Jon Beason (ILB). He had a cap hit of $7 with 2 years remaining. Giants save $5.
