Charlotte in discussions for acquiring Mo Williams

I really think we could eventually move up to 5 or 6 with this trade... If they get acclimated pretty quickly.

How does Flip Saunders keep getting jobs?

Honestly it really isn't a bad trade from the Wolves perspective. They are winning way too much with Rubio back, so they shed Mo so Lavine gets the backup PG minutes, and they get out of a guaranteed contract for next year (Daniels).

And as far as moving up, that will be tough. We're already 6 games back of Milwaukee. We'll have to have quite a good stretch.

Yeah, good points but from their perspective, you just gave up a former all-star that scored 52 a week or so ago for a 2nd round pick you won't see for another 4 years, and had to include cash and a young prospect to do it.

I'm just saying, if I was a wolves fan, I would be pissed lol.

Didn't get to quote this portion the first time, but I think we're capable.

Like I said earlier, Mo gives us a dynamic that we have literally lacked our entire reincarnated existence in Charlotte basketball. It should really open things up for everyone else on the floor, and regardless, he has the ability to create for others if his isn't there.

And honestly, I don't think we lose the last two games if Neal had already been gone. We have won in our recent run in spite of Neal.

Agree completely there. It's possible I suppose.

But Milwaukee is currently on pace for 45 wins (it's actually 45.7 but I rounded down). To get to 45 (we have the tiebreaker) we would have to go 23-8 the rest of the way. Now of course it's possible they or someone else slips up, but I really can't see us doing that well the rest of the way. We would have to win more games in 31 games than we did in 51 games.

Edit: Not trying to be a downer haha, I just already got my hopes up with this years' team once, I can't do it again.

    • Link to article Seven players mentioned are... ILB Mark Robinson (PIT) - 2022 seventh round pick that was a core special teams player and was productive in the final preseason game vs. CAR (3 TKLs, 1 FF, 1 FR). Undersized at 5'11" 235 lbs.  CB O'Donnell Fortune (NYG) - UDFA rookie out of South Carolina (and a Sumter native). 6'1", 185lbs frame fits the Panthers' preference for long and lanky CBs. Panthers' evaluators got a lot of time with him during the Shrine Bowl, his pro day, and the combine. CB Damarri Mathis (DEN) - 2022 fourth-round pick that played for Evero his rookie season at 5'11" 195lbs both inside and outside. Did well under Evero (16 games, 11 starts, 65 TKLs, 7 PBUs) but slid down the depth chart after he left. Started just seven of 27 games the last two seasons. DB Dean Clark (NYJ) - Fresno State UDFA with good size (6'1" 205lbs) and preseason production (5 TKLs, 1 INT, 2 PBUs) that can also play special teams. The Panthers have claimed a player from the Jets in each of the past two seasons (having also played the Jets both times in preseason though). OLB Brennan Jackson (LAR) - 2024 fifth-rounder that notched three sacks in the preseason. Played special teams and rotated in on defense that could potentially be an upgrade from DJ Johnson. DB Beau Brade (BAL) - 2024 UDFA that appeared in 11 games and played 70% of the special teams snaps. Has the size (6'0" 209lbs) that the team covets at safety. K Ben Sauls (PIT) - 24yrs old and went four-for-four against Carolina in preseason. Made 21 of 24 FGs during his final college season at Pitt.
