Man Crush on Cam Newton

NFL.COM lists their top fantasy football man crushes for 2015.

Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers: Newton was a disappointment last season, finishing outside of the top 15 fantasy quarterbacks due in large part to injuries. But down the stretch, we started to see Superman emerge from the Clark Kent identity. Newton scored 19-plus fantasy points in each of his final three regular-season contests and was running the ball with far more success. He also developed a great rapport with Kelvin Benjamin. When you consider that he had been a top-four quarterback in his first three NFL seasons and is likely to drop in drafts for 2015, well, Newton could turn into an absolute steal

    • Strongly disagree with this. Not saying Kucci will be a playoff caliber starter. But, if you look at the guys who are playoff starters and those with recent playoff success, he is matching their trajectories to a tee. Once other teams get enough tape/experience and start to gameplan against, there is an adjustment period. Pyotr has all of the skills to be a Vezina level tendy. What matters is how he evolves from here. The league knows his tendencies and have learned how to exploit him. Can he continue to mature and improve, or will he settle in for a long lucrative career on the bench? Next season will be a turning point for Kucci, one way or another. Hopefully, he proves me right and we have our goalie for the next decade. Lord knows the rest of our goalie pipeline looked like garbage when they got thrown in the fire this season.
    • I can only assume you never played sports at any high level or you would know the tiny bump you get moving up the draft is far outweighed by the damage you do to coaches and players whose future relies on sticking in the league and performing. Players see you don't care about them or the team success and will help you tank by giving up. Once that happens your franchise will suffer for years and develop a loser mentality like we have.  No that would be crappy advice and saying it repeatedly doesn't make it better.
