Shakeup within the organization: Mark and Jon Richardson resign

guys, don't read into this

this is a smoke screen, similar to the recent news that the cia torture scandal will be investigated, which takes the focus off of health care reform.

in similar fashion, putting that we signed a DT and that there is a shakeup in the organization in the news is taking concetration off the fact that we paid 100mil dollars combined to jake delhomme and chris gamble in the off season and both players are looking like they may lose their starting positions. also it distracts from the teams terrible defense.

c mon man.

People leave or get told to leave for one reason and one reason only. And that is that they didn't like or were not liked by the organization. Plain simple fact. Well I guess you could say they are rich brats and could just go hang at the beach.

This quote from Jerry Richardson makes me think there is more to it then just a guy resigning for "personal reasons" and a guy resigning as a formality so he can inherit the team:

"At the same time, I am thankful that we have a staff that has been in place for many years and knows our philosophy."

When I read that, it sounds like they departed for "philosophical reasons" to me...

I thought the same thing at first, then I thought "this IS Big Cat we are talking about...."

So let me get this straight....

Steve Smith, and Sir Purr are trading places with Jon and Mark?

All PSL owners get refunds this year, and all tickets are free, and first come first serve this season???

Bill Cowher will head up the cheerleading committee.....

And we are moving to LA.......right?

Did I understand this correctly???????

Cooooooooool !!

:D

    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
    • Me, signing up for FanDuel Network, and then canceling FanDuel Network:
    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
