Madden 16

LUUUUUKE

My complaint with Madden online has very little to do with the game, more to do with the fact that people draw up ebooks of money plays and schemes that beat any defense because of flaws in the game. It's a game, and sure I could do it, but I like to try to play football. I'm going to run all game and maybe throw 20 passes, if that. No glitchy routes, nothing that the right call on defense can't beat. But in reality, quarters defense should never stop inside runs...and yet people do, with consistency. Taking advantage of game flaws ruins this game online.

I honestly believe if people played a true simulation style game against me, I'm either going to win or it's going to be a tight game. But it's an arcade game, not a simulator, so that won't happen often.

imo the cheesiest strategies involve running the ball the majority of the time.

Only if you find a specific running play that for whatever reason can't be defended no matter what you call. I've had plenty of players force me out of my gameplan and into passing more. I don't spam the same run out of the same formation. For the most part, i change formation each play. I show you what I'm gonna do early on and dare you to stop it. That's literally football. My pass/run ratio is like 53/47 currently (because I got into the habit early where I never ran).

When I say cheese plays, I mean money plays that work 90% of the time, regardless of the defense. Like running drags all game. Or chucking deep balls and aggressive catching to take advantage of a broken system in the game. That kind of stuff.

i know what you're saying, but all the cheesers i've come across always run the hurry up and cycle between a few run plays and for whatever reason it is impossible to stop.

    • My friend, pretty much stayed at his level for the next 30 years. But he is own boss and happy I guess. Not a bad guy personally.  That is probably Tepper.
    • Banking your hopes on a couch FA that has a cup of tea NFL career to date as an almost 31 year old QB is certainly something. Especially when you consider that he has spent literally zero time in our offense so far. I think that White might be solid competition and possibly be better than Hendon Hooker, which is certainly a very low bar to clear.  That's probably about where the level is for White. He's a potential upgrade to our PS QB.
    • I need to look more into how pass block win rate is calculated. Like, if the other team gets a coverage sack because nobody is open and the guy I am blocking gets free to pressure/sack the QB after 5 seconds, is that considered a pass block "loss"? I honestly don't think our pass blocking has been that bad this year (outside of Nijman at LT week 1 and Zavala for 2 out of 3 games). For the most part, teams aren't getting by with a 4 man rush and are having to blitz. Looks like teamrankings says we are 10th in sacks allowed (1.7/game) - and that isn't because we have a QB getting the ball out at an elitely quick rate.
