There are only so many offensive plays in the NFL.  Most teams run the same plays as other teams, just with different names.  If 2 teams run the same offense, 95% of the plays are the same...just with different names.  I'm still in the camp that believes Shula does ok with what he is given.  Are there better coordinators?  Yep.  Are there worse?   Yep.  I believe that more focus should be put on talent and execution when evaluating output.

You are crediting Chud for Luck?

Chud simply got a "we are boys and you just for canned at a record level you don't even see in the NFL....so I'll hook my boy up with a madeup gig to keep his resume from spiraling down" job.

Andrew Luck wasn't going to improve from year 1 to year 3 if he had my cat as his QB/OC wrapped into one.  Espcially with that consistent increase of talent around Luck each year

Chud wasn't even the OC or QB coach.  His bro gave him a charity gig after falling on his face.

    • Yes, it tells me they’ve improved significantly from sitting at what, 30-31st in the league on the PP to 11th now.
    • I wanted someone to hire him so we got the picks, but I'm also not upset that he'll now be back. I genuinely don't understand why so many fans on here dislike him so much.  No, he's not perfect and made some mistakes this year, especially at the end of the playoff game and going so soft in coverage on the final drive. But considering this place torched him all offseason for us having the "worst defense in NFL history" last year.  Said in the whole pre-draft process how we had to go defense in round 1 because of it and then complained the rest of the offseason that we didn't do enough to improve the defensive roster. How do people say all that about the defense and then complain when he turned that same unit into a pretty respectable defense this year.  They were really the only reason we were in a lot of games for most of the season, as the middle part of the season they really stepped up and were playing like one of the better defenses in the league. I don't see any reason we can't improve even more next year if we spend another offseason focusing on adding pieces on that side of the ball, which we should be able to do with our draft picks and cap space.
