Interesting Story About Cam from Tirico

Hadn't heard it elsewhere, and I'm sure observant fans can tell, but it was cool to hear Tirico actually verbalize it earlier on the Rusillo and Kannell show this afternoon.  Tirico said he may share it on air tonight too, but they were talking about what is different this year and has Cam developed, so Tirico brought up an example of it...

Tirico said what did you see Cam do in college when they'd line up?  Simultaneously he and Rusillo said, "look to the sideline" for the play.  So, Tirico said in Seattle, on that final scoring drive, there was a ton of commotion they were trying to get plays in and Cam turned to the sideline and waved them off and said, "I got this," and called the plays himself.

Ill see if I can find the segment on their podcast to share, but he said he will probably share it on the broadcast as well...   But, in the meantime, you're welcome.  Now let's get this W.

Heard them say it in the broadcast. It was pretty awesome.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
