Excellent analysis of Panthers' offense - from Fox Sports

The Panthers have a quirky habit of hitting their head against the wall to no avail for several snaps until somebody gets nosy on the edge and then blasting off a game-breaking run.

THIS! This. This. This. So very, very this. Many think "Shula ball" is only running to tire out the defense. Yes, it is that. But more so it is running to set up the defense to fail, to catch them with mistakes. Those "game-breaking runs" are killers, true gotcha! momentum changing moments, dagger-to-the-heart plays.

It is smart offense run by a smart QB off a scheme devised by a smart OC. Panther fans need patience ............ and heart defibrillators in their back pockets lol.

I really enjoyed this article.  What I liked the best.  It wasn't some writer just gloating about the Panther offense.  It was a writer who played in the NFL for 9 seasons.

He made some very valid points and an outstanding analysis.

Choose your poison.

Yep. Good article. I'd never heard of Matt Chatham as a writer or player but looked him up. He had quite a long career for an UDFA, and also picked up an MBA and started a restaurant franchise.
