What will it take...for people to shut up?

well, if it's the sheer number of threads being made making the same point, i agree, we should have one big colossal thread for people to vent, even if it would be up to 1000 replies by now.

Agreed.

It's just straight up disheartening to see all the threads devoted to negative bashing. I'm as pissed as the next person about last Sunday, but the team has moved on, so must we.

The ultimate goal is still attainable, even, and I know it sounds like a stretch, even with Jake under center, though it certainly won't be pretty.

I just hope we can salvage a playoff berth out of all this. There is too much talent on the Panthers to go to waste this season.

Fans are supporters. Booing them is not supporting them, it's actually detrimental to the team. So therefore booing means, as a fan, you do not support the team.

I can deal with shouting after a bad play, groaning as the fourth interception unveils or having a heated discussion with those round you, about how bad the team is. They are spur of the moment things which accurately portray a persons emotions when the team they support, plays badly. Booing on the other hand is a concerted effort to make one or more people feel like crap. It is not an immediate reaction, it is a premeditated attempt to actually make people feel and play worse. Why oh why would you do that to your own team?!

Considering that, how is booing something NOT to be embarressed about?

Oh and REP for the OP, couldn't agree more with your sentiments

Agreed, rep.

It is messing with and hurting the confidence of the team. The home crowd is there to hurt the confidence and be detrimental to the OPPOSING team.

All these people think they can say "Jake sucks" in their own special way, hince all the different threads.

Just don't read them. If they do/say something against the Huddle rules, report it.

Quite right.

I sincerely hope none of the team reads these forums on a regular basis.....

"IF" he comes out and have a good game against atl, it will be because of the booing he got.

its like disciplining a child when he/she does something wrong, you either cause physical discomfort (smacking on the hand) or in a stern voice causing emotional discomfort (No! dont do that!) and if you have a smart (disciplined) child they wont do it again because of the discomforts they dealt with before.

im not saying we disciplining jake, but imagine if we woulda cheered him for every int., i really dont understand yall at times.

I don't boo when I go to games, if/when we screw up I just kinda sit there and think, "Why the hell did that happen?" I cheer loudly when we do well and I believe that players will be more motivated to turn it around when they're given encouragement instead of constantly being kicked while they're down. Everybody responds differently, I guess.

    • Man, we're desperate around here.  I had to look at Peppers' stats to see if I'm missing something, but no, he's an average guy at best.  Nothing impressive at all in his stats.  He's not a true safety at all, and I'm kind of annoyed with the jack of all trades players at this point.  Of course I see the PFF scores and everything, but I'm old school.  I believe the stats tell more about the player than the analytics.  This ain't moneyball here. (haha)  The best players put up numbers.  And when I look at the numbers, Peppers is just another player running around on the field.
    • People see what they want.  I have also stated since the moment we drafted Bryce….a badly owned team was screwing HIM over by setting him up to fail by coach/scheme design.   Core criticism isn’t actually Bryce…it’s Carolina/front office.  I could see Bryce being good.  I could see Canales being good.  But I don’t see them as a pairing.  Football is about fit.  Board is doing what the board does.  People were idiots who dared question the All Star staff.  People raged when Fitterer was criticized.  They raged when Rhule was criticized.   Until they didn’t.
    • Yeah and to make it weirder Moehrig is a FS, Peppers is a SS.
