I'm not entirely sure what the preseason split is, but that is pretty close to the vet minimum for his experience level.

The split refers to guarunteed money.if he is injured or cut in preseason, he is only guaranteed 450k

The current cut off for contracts counting toward compensatory picks is 910k.  

This is why Boykin does not count and Velasco does.

This could change if more high value FAs get signed
