Hotels in Charlotte

Liminy

all the aloft properties are supposed to be starwood's edgy premier properties, whereas sheratons are more business oriented, W and westin more cutting edge, le meridiens more luxurious. i stayed at the le meridien in charlotte and it kicks ass... i've stayed at the le meridien in bangkok and it was the most awesome place i've stayed in my life.

now that marriott is buying out starwood there'll be a gradual cultural shift towards getting all of the properties to be more like aloft, since marriott prefers the more edgy designs and autonomous authenticity over comfort-branding for baby boomers, which is largely why they're the big fish in the sea of hotel chains

The Hyatt Place downtown is nice, but has a business hotel feel to it. The rooms run in the $200s and they're big. Fahrenheit restaurant is at the top. It's got great city views and a great bar. It's a couple of blocks from the intersection of Trade and Tryon, but easily walkable. All of the hotels listed so far are nice. The Ritz is great, but even it has club noise issues depending on what floor/side of the hotel you're on. I've stayed there several times and I would pass on it personally. Le Meridien is nice, but it's at the edge of downtown, so your walk is going to be a little longer to center city.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
