This mentality is the problem around here( no offense to you,btw) A team with this much talent and payroll should make the playoffs and anything else is an EPIC failure.

i agree that they should be able too.

i just dont think its going to happen.

the defense is not good enough.

and i dont think the defense is going to make any significant changes. if i were the falcons, i would have thrown the ball ALLLL game. im scared to watch us play the saints.

plus im a cubs fan, so i know first hand that talent and payroll mean NOTHING.

What makes you think this team will make playoff? Jake plays great? or the defense can carry us?

who knows if we'll make the playoffs.. I can see us missing them just as easily as us getting our poo together and making them. This team can go either way...

The point is... It might help you sleep better at night to take a wait and see approach, enjoy the game of football for a couple more weeks, and then make a better judgement on this team at mid-season..

Now, of course you don't have to and after 2 games it doesn't look good.... But most teams don't start Game 1 in mid-season form.

I would be patient and see how the kinks work out before jumping the gun. However, that's just me.

But thinking the season is over and throwing in the towel while starting Moore (who will not command the offense the same as Jake) is extremely premature... I wouldn't go so far as to say he is the future either.

its hard to say if your gonna make the playoffs after two games. my prediction was for us to start the season 1-2 and finish with a 10-6 record. but for those of you that are already throwing in the towel. could u please go pull for the cowboys or something. id rather have our games blacked out every Sunday than to hear this bs every week

      I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.

      Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.

      This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
