Joe Horn says he felt used by Giants. Rips Giants

Horn says he did a great job running fake routes and catching passes, but that before he could even get back to the locker room, the Giants had already handed his plane ticket home. He now thinks the Giants never had any intention of signing him and simply put on this show to intimidate their current players.

"I had a great workout, I thought, I ran crisp routes and didn't drop any balls and I did what I was asked to do. It seemed like the coaches liked it, however, before I could step in the locker room I had an itinerary with my flight back to Atlanta ... Honestly I kind of felt like I was brought into give those young guys a spark to say, 'hey I know you've got a job but you can be replaced.' So I think it kind of boosted and gave those young guys a spark to let them know that Joe Horn was there and their playing time could be taken if they don't get their act together....

I'm not trying to talk down on those teams, but I've played 13 years in this league and I know I'm not getting any younger. However, I can still play, I felt good running the routes, but it was kind of shocking to me why... I was asking my agent why would I come in on a Wednesday and be getting prepared to play on a Sunday Night against the Panthers? For the first 10 weeks I didn't foresee that happening. But I took the trip, got on a plane, bumpy flight and all, I hate flying, but I did it because of the opportunity and like I said my reason was to play for a Super Bowl Contender and the Giants called.

I never have liked Horn but the Giants did him wrong. Or maybe he is the only one that thought he looked good!

Regardless, he says they had his plane ticket ready to go when he was still on the field. That means they were never serious about signing him

Waa waa waa... cry me a river, Joe.

The Giants are not obligated to sign you simply because you have a good workout. Not to mention, there's more to being a team player than just running crisp routes and catching balls. Maybe you should think about that

    • Well, the whole rationale used  for the high IQ point guard is it would allow us to spend our resources elsewhere….instead it’s all our first rounders ever since to support the bad pick.  Reality is our front office is just bad.  If you wanted Bryce Young you were going to need to do something unique and special for him.  Instead we just insert a QB with traditional tools into old NFL concepts that pair with traditional talent and our pass game is whack
    • Good to see some other folks are speaking the same language on this. It's simple common sense. But it seems like there's a disconnect due to the misplaced value the team has put on Thielen because he was the only vaguely good veteran WR willing to sign with the Panthers after we traded away DJ Moore. That time has come and gone. We have two first round WR's on the roster now.
    • Yeah I’m turning this into a Bryce can’t play QB thread. Just stating that offense was a poo show two years ago. No QB is succeeding in that, much less a rookie. I feel like it’s become a common debate strategy on here to just jump down the rabbit hole of saying he is just bad in so many ways when any certain point gets countered. If that doesn’t work we can deflect to how poorly this team has been ran. In regards to the actual point we are debating, the OL was struggling, half of the skill players aren’t on a roster, Mingo has done nothing with his new team and the staff are either not coaching or on their 3rd team in 3 years, aside from McCown (I liked McCown too). Honestly about as bad as it gets. No need to try to state how good of an offense it was billed it because that has been proven false at this point.
