I want to see that Irish clown get punked again but won't be buying it this time. The rest of the card is too weak. Will watch on the interwebs.

Again?  LOL.  McGregor was whipping his ass pretty good until he just ran out of gas.  He was pretty stupid for thinking that he could carry that power up and it still be as effective.  I think he learned his lesson and won't be an idiot this time.

I think you watched that fight with Connor Glasses on. Both men took a licking and Connor was made to look like a stooge (not the GOAT like everyone claimed). He got schooled by a better fighter ... which says a lot about what hype can get someone like Connor.

If you can look at that fight up until Diaz got the choke out and say that Diaz was winning you're insane.  McGregor was the aggressor.  McGregor was landing more shots.  McGregor was landing harder shots.

Look I'm not trying to take anything away from Diaz he showed a lot of heart after taking an ass whipping to come up with the win.  He's no punk.

What I see though is that if McGregor were in better aerobic shape he'd have won that fight.  It takes a lot to move up in weight in any pugilistic sport.  10 pounds is a huge difference even in sports like football.  McGregor mistakenly thought his power would translate to the light heavy weight division and it didn't.  If he were smart...#1 he'd not try to go to the ground with Diaz like he did in the last fight and #2 he'd train for a long fight.

Obviously this was a much better fight since it went the distance.  McGregor owned him for about a round and a half.  Then it's like he just ran out of steam again.  Diaz stood in there and weathered getting knocked down a few times.  Then he became the aggressor for the next couple of rounds.  I thought the fight was fairly close but I would give the edge to McGregor overall.  If Diaz would have taken McGregor down earlier he probably would have won but he couldn't do it until the fight was all but over.

I thought it was a draw. Had Connor not got those two knockdowns in R2, Nate may have won. Fun fight. Connor needs to work on his cardio BIG time. Nate is and always will be a second tier fighter but I still am not impressed with Connor. I think sans another freak KO, Aldo destroys him if they rematch.

Conor had rounds 1, 2, and 4. First round was clear, Nate didn't even touch him and got destroyed. Second round, Conor knocked him down twice, outstruck him overall, but gassed out and Nate had a late flurry. In rewatching it, the flurry was lesser than I thought it was live. It was super exciting at the time, but it was actually just mostly slaps without any power behind them. Not enough to steal the round after getting knocked down twice and outstruck. Then round 4 was just Conor picking his shots and outboxing Nate, who was struggling bad with blood in his eyes.

One of the best fights in UFC history either way.

I'm not sure it's fair to call it a freak KO when he knocks people down and out on a regular basis.

Aldo is a non factor, imo. There's no money in that for Conor. I think he should vacate the 145 belt and his next fight should be Alvarez, or do the Diaz trilogy.

Aldo can fight Holloway.

Agreed.  Get the money while you can.  This fight was a hell of a fight... at different points in the fight I thought both fighters were done.   They both deserve another fight and more money.

    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
    • Guessing the price is too rich here given the injury history.  2024 was brutal and production dropped off in 2025 with a few more injuries (albeit rough qb play).    Don’t really understand the narrative that Young can’t benefit from talented upgrades on offense. Especially here with respect to a tight end. Any QB will benefit from talented receivers that threaten the top of coverage and tight ends with skills to stress zone.    The age and injury history, coupled with what he’s likely asking, just probably means we can better spend that money elsewhere.
