To the posters in the thread saying you should tip everyone regardless of service, what's the point of calling it a tip then if you are obligated to give one?

He wasn't like that here. He'd become a lazy malcontent, largely because the new staff actually expected him to work hard while the old one was willing to pay him big money just to coast. That's why he was let go.

Any idea that he'd be the same back if we'd hung on to him is off base.
