The best way for Cam to get back to the NFL is to will this team into the playoffs and the promise land. He could then say despite all the BS you threw my way, you cant stop me and I overcame it!

I realistically think Cam gets hurt soon and only then will the NFL change and it will be because only then will the public/FO will finally put enough heat on them 

Well my point is that there is a difference between 1 hit a game and 10. Defenders also want get as free and want be able to launch. It would also keep cam healthy and able to protect himself better .
