Have you ever seen this guy play? He can throw it with zip and pinpoint accuracy. Just because his HC wants to use all his skill instead of just his arm doesn't mean he can't be a drop back passer. He is by far the best leader I have ever seen. And yes he can run the ball better then any QB in football history (If you go by TD's which is the most important stat). He is tough as nails and is very unselfish on the football field. So any one that says this guy doesn't have the talent to play QB in the NFL knows nothing about the game.

The only thing that worries me about The Golden Calf of Bristol is that he never takes snaps under center. You almost never see a qb that runs exclusivly out of the shotgun in college convert to a good qb in the nfl. I guess there is a first time for everything though.

If I were GM I would be trying to make moves now. I would sign Sean Smith to help shore up the DT spot once and for all, it save us a draft choice. I would offer Peppers a contract after the season and if refuses he can go half ass elsewhere.

Resign Thomas Davis, Matt Moore and James Anderson

Maybe look for a guy like Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila to help E. Brown for pass rush.

Watch the development of Sherrod Martin and Charles Godfrey at FS. If they aren't cutting it move them back to CB. IMO I think we desperately could use a do it all Safety. I'm talking cornerstone safety here. The secondary needs a leader. Chris Harris is great but you guys know what I'm talking about.

And I would let Richard Marshall walk. The guy is solid but has not become what we hoped he would for us. And we have the talent to back his spot up. Munnerlyn could become #2 material next year.

I think DT will be fine next year. I think we brought in some good work horse guys, and in my scenario we sign Shaun Smith. If Kemo comes back to form we would be extremely solid at DT, and still solid without him. Leonard looked good out there.

DE is another problem. E. Brown has got to back up his draft status and fast. We cannot afford to tag Peppers again. Who knows about Charles Johnson. Brayton is worth keeping imo. Hilee Taylor could be good for us next year with another year on his belt. I think a pure rusher like Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila could definitely give us some relief.

I believe we could also take a look at a former #1 pick Jarvis Moss. Hes underachieved but is also out of scheme in Denver and might be worth trading a late pick for in 2011.

GET MIKE GOODSON THE DAMN BALL. This guy can really help us I truely believe that. He doesn't have to be a pure RB. Put this dude at WR if need be, this guy should have opportunities.

Make every effort to sign Deangelo long term. I realize the guy will be 27. But he doesn't have many NFL miles considering he was back up for 2 1/2 years. He is a pure gold player and person. I once thought about trading Deangelo and although we could get excellent compensation for him I think its better we keep him. He is the best RB we have ever had.

I would give Jarrett one more shot. But I would pick a WR in the 2nd or 3rd rounds of the draft regardless.

I would let Jeff King go. He's a solid player but Barnidge and Rosario have alot more potential.

And as far as QB goes I believe in Matt Moore. But should he come in and ultimately suck this season maybe look at Derek Anderson or perhaps trade 2011 picks to move up in the draft. I would be willing to do that if the caliber QB is there.

But I would sure as hell restructure Jakes contract.

Dwayne Jarrett to me is annoying. If i knew that i wasn't getting many opportunities, i would make every single one count. When he goes in, sometimes he makes the catch, sometimes he doesn't, sometimes he gets separation, most of the time he doesn't. too many questions, but i guess i would give him 1 LAST year.

    • Appreciate that, bro!  And I could definitely see that with Cam.  Even though he’s a little younger than me, he is also someone I admire and feel a kinship with for a lot of various reasons. Funny enough, a few years after that encounter with Steve, I went to Charlotte with one of my friends whose brothers owned a moving company at the time.  He dropped me off uptown and went to work the day with them where I would wait until he got done and then we were gonna go to the Bobcats game that night.  So I walk all through that area for hours.  After awhile, I walk back towards the arena and sit in a bench on the backside of the arena, where the practice court and player’s entrance was.  As I’m sitting there, I look up and almost think I’m seeing things - I squint and blink my eyes a couple times just to be sure, and yes…  it’s one of my childhood heroes, Muggsy Bogues walking across the crosswalk and into the arena.  I think he was coaching the Sting then, iirc.  Part of me wanted to just say, “Hey!  Muggsy!  Thank you for the inspiration and memories!  You were one of my favorite players as a kid!”  But, I just watched him walk by and into the arena and thought, “that was cool!”  I also so Miguel Cotto a couple years back while in Orlando and told my kids who it was but didn’t say anything to him.  I think somewhere in my subconscious, that encounter with Steve really made me feel like the gamble on finding out if they’re receptive to interaction just isn’t worth finding out.  At the end of the day, no matter if they’re receptive inspired us or were a hero, unless they initiate it, I likely never will…  because again, they’re humans just like us.  Not anymore unique or special, they just have a highly visible and very public job that we get to watch and in some ways participate.  So, I just appreciate it for what it is.
    • I'm pleasantly surprised they gave it to Bryce Young over Josh Allen. Finally we're getting some respect. Now I'm just hoping the team follows this up accordingly and doesn't lay another egg.
    • What weird blood red moon has cast its spell?  What’s next, dogs and cats sleeping together? Bonus question:  Did Canales open up his playbook or did Bryce find an extra high gear in his stick shift?
