So pre-meditated murder equals domestic violence now, glad you guys aren't in charge of anything

Well, I didn't say that premeditated murder and domestic violence were/are "equal." What I suggested is that there is a parallel---an eery one if you think about it objectively---between what Carruth and Hill did that would easily preclude the Panthers from considering the guy in my opinion. If you can't see that, it's because you don't want to.

And, BTW, personally I am not a "good ol' boy." I have mixed feelings about a lot of things. Though I believe in second chances, I also could have seen myself ending the boy's football career had it been my daughter that he assaulted to that extent, and that's real talk. But, who knows, maybe I could have forgiven him if he caught me at the right time. In general, I think that what he did was despicable, so, again, I wouldn't want him on my team.

I'd take Tyreke Hill on my team any day of the week. Do I understand what he did is unforgivable? Of course I do, and he isn't a guy I would personally associate myself with but this isn't church league flag football. Let's face it, a lot of bad people play and have played in the NFL (Pacman Jones, Talib etc)The NFL is about winning games and I personally don't think one bad decision should ruin a young mans life with the talent Hill possesses. He paid the price by falling far in the draft as well as getting kicked out of OSU. Also, it's easy to hate on a kid when he's not on your team. If he was a panther, we'd be defending him the same way we defend Cam when the media has crucified throughout his career for various reasons

Although I said I'd give him a second chance, I do agree with you on the if it was my daughter scenario. He wouldn't be playing football anymore, and there's a strong possibility I would've taken his life.
