Why not Davis or Williams

Davis is from a small school so some may be hesitant based on his competition. Mike Williams isn't the fastest guy which is a major downside when drafting a receiver high in the first

Davis being from a small school and unable to workout causes me some concerns.

Mike Williams brings nothing to the table that we don't already have. We already have plenty of big WRs who can't create separation. Williams is basically a smaller, surer handed version of KB. I think he'll be a good player, I just think that we need SPEED at the WR position.

Williams would be more of the same, and Davis isn't the type of WR we need. I would rather us draft Ross over both of them

He has speed once he gets going, the problem is when need someone with fast acceleration who can get open quickly

Ross is a Brandin Cooks clone, I think he fits our team better than those two.

First of all, EVERY single scouting report on Davis that I've read says that he has true WR1 potential, and they're not talking about WR1 on a team, they're talking about in terms of being a league superstar. Now what team doesn't need that, I don't know.

Secondly, Davis put up 617 yards and four TDs against big 10 competition. Moreover, just because a receiver comes out of a small school doesn't make him dog meat at the next level. Indeed, Antonio Brown came from the same conference, and the greatest receiver of all time was from a small school as well.

Third, Davis isn't the quintessential speedster, but plays fast enough to make an impact, and more importantly is the route-ologist that this team desperately needs.

    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
