Could Cleveland trade be an option?

I actually could see us trading with Cleveland number 8 and number 12 and them giving us a third or even a late second rounder for compensation.

Here's why: Garrett, Adams, Thomas, Fournette, Howard, Allen, and Hooker could all be off the board at 8...not likely but it's possible. Cleveland has a wealth of picks and could move up to take their top QB prospect at that point.

Why not move down 4 slots and take a second tier guy at that point?

In that senario all  the first tier WR and CBs are still available. With that trade down you could easily snatch up Ross or Corey Davis .

I think the best option for the Panthers is to trade down with the browns for their R1P12 and R2P1 . And then use our three 2nd rounders to trade back into the mid or late first. In that senario I could see something like Ross at 12 and McCaffrey or Howard at 20 something.

Well anyway I'd love it if they drafted two offense players in the 1st . Just very different from what they usually do by drafting defense most early round picks besides Kelvin and Funchess and help balance the talent level of our team a bit. Cam's entering his prime years as a QB you can't just have Kelvin as the only real attempt at help given to Cam from a young draft talent perspective.

I think that would be a nice scenario but I don't think we would get that much to move back 4 spots. I think we would be lucky to get the #52 pick with the trade down. Most likely would be #65 in the 3rd round.

Pick 8 worth 1,400 pts & Pick 12 worth 1,200 pts

200 pts fall around pick 78 in the 3rd round.

So in your scenario would a 3rd round pick warrant us moving 4 spots back and possibly lose out on a Howard or one of the DE?

Now, in saying that if by chance we are able to get a 2nd round pick out of them I would think about it but I would just rather pick the player we are coveting and not take the chance.
