but Clevelands ineptitude is irrelavant...

what matters is this...Julio Jones is arguably the best WR in the league.so trading up in order to acquire a player of his caliber is in fact a smart move.

If Cleveland's ineptitude is irrelevant than how good Julio is is irrelevant as well

You can look at the trade prior to the draft and now years later

Cleveland 100% won the trade on draft day, there is no arguing this. No one thought it was a good trade by the Falcons besides the Falcons.

Atlanta got a great WR in Julio, Cleveland...blew their chance. If they had drafted All-Pros at every pick they would have won the trade again. If Julio sucks Cleveland wins the trade. Cleveland's ineptitude has everything to do with it.

    • I've actually been very complimentary of him.  I have said that I think he will get the bulk of receptions and yards. I have said I think he will be a 1k yard reciever thia year. He has issues tho and I guess no one is allowed to point them out.
    • We don't have to lie, 4.8 was official and there were scouts who had him in the 4.54 to 4.57 range
    • Think the "official time" put out was 4.48, but there were a lot of scouts there who of course all had difference times as it's all handed timed by them.  Think I saw it as low as 4.43 and as high as 4.62 or something, but in the end it's all basically the same speed because 40 yard dash is so pointless. Anyone who complains about his speed is just someone who wants a Chase/Jefferson/Nabers style #1 as opposed to an Evans style #1 who isn't going to beat you because of his speed but his other abilities. In the end, he's fast enough for a player his size and surprisingly quicker and more agile than people give him credit for too. The real problem is that Panthers fans can't get our past big WR failures out of their head, they hear "big WR" and automatically see a plodding KB or Jarrett in their minds and assume that's also T-Mac.
