i really hope samuel blows up for like 1400 yards and 11 TDs but like honestly idk why we bother drafting WRs and don't just sign top tier FAs because we suck at developing them

New WR coaching staff might be just what the doctor ordered. Taylor along with Cotchery might be a nice change of pace.

Rumor has it Moose will be chipping in from time to time to help them along also. Surely that will be of benefit.

i've got two theories

1. blame the coaching. and if this is the case, then maybe it will improve in the coming years since we have new coaches. ricky proehl really didn't impress me.

2. blame our offensive philosophy. YAC-limiting play-action deep passing is not a viable passing game. obviously the solution to this is to incorporate more timing passes and 3 step drops, and design plays that can get the ball out to these guys quicker, because unless he's going to be taking off and running (and i'd like to see him not have to do that as much) then the ball isn't going anywhere as long as it's in cam's hands. but this is like way advanced poo for mike shula so i don't envision this changing anytime soon. and as long as it persists, it's going to be difficult getting these guys to produce anything beyond that dreaded 400-something yard plateau that all of our receivers seem to settle into.
