The Rockies

71-38 since they hired Jim Tracy.

That is red hot baseball right there.

My Cards have struggled against them this season too.

Tracy should get Manager of the year.

Just got home from the Dodger game, a 4-3 loss to the Rockies. When the Rockies get hot, they go on long winning streaks, they may not be a team you want to face early in he playoffs.

Manny struck out all 4 times tonight, after the 3rd strike out and leaving men on base, Hudson consoled him in the infield. Manny was booed heavily by the fans after K #3.

Life after the Roid suspension has been a slow spiral downhill for the dreadlocked one. If he keeps playing like sh!t and getting heavily booed it will be intersting to see if we get some Manny fireworks. :D

At this point I think you'd get a large contingent of Dodger fans who'd like to see Juan Pierre inserted back into left field in favor of Ramirez.

As a Cubs fan, I have little room to talk about much.

I will say tho, I absolutely love these Rockies. They seem to pull this sh!t every year. Start out like sh!t, and come roaring back. It's hard not to root for them.

Since I have no dog in the hunt, I'll take them in NL and my Dad's a big Yankee fan (grew up in the Golden Era of Yankee Lore) so I'll take them in the AL. But don't be confused, I'd like to see the Rockies win it all.

And just so everyone knows.

Next year, is indeed, the Cubs year :)

I was thinking that same thing....think Torre would do that?

I don't know if you can sit a guy making 25 mill. But he did sit Andruw Jones (Big $) when he sucked. Can't remember this type of situation in NY when he was manager there. Maybe the Giambi deal?

By the way, Pierre is playing tonight, in place of Andre Ethier.

    • Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal
    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
