Primus and Clutch

Saw their show at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Ampitheater last night. Bought my ticket yesterday afternoon, center section row 12, $60. I'm ashamed to admit I had never heard Clutch until last night. I had heard of them just hadn't heard any of their music.  Well they gained a new fan, let me tell you. Just great gritty, raunchy straight ahead rock and roll. Really fantastic band.

Primus then came on.  Played lots of old st uff.  I'm guessing 75% of their set list was from Frizzle Fry, Seas of Cheese, Pork Soda and Tales from the Punchbowl. Les announced they are coming out with a new album soon and played a song from it. Good tune, middle section reminded me a little of Rush.  Can't go wrong with that. Only gripe is that Les and Ler, in my opinion, got a little self indulgent before some songs just riffing before getting to the actual song.  Probably spent a good 10 minutes total doing that.  I know they are great musicians and its nitpicking but I'm old and crotchety and they could have used that time and added one or two more songs to the set.

Just a great concert and I'm glad I went. Hopefully some others in the huddle were there too.

Welcome to the life of being a Clutch fan.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
