Something that really impresses me about CMC - watch how still his head stays and how his eyes track the ball all the way in when he catches it. Also, even though he catches it tight to his body it's still pretty much an all-hands catch. That he can do that is partly a function of a well-thrown ball but it's an indicator that he has excellent habits already in place.

You're contradicting yourself here.

If he's doing this well on offense...then why risk an injury trotting him out as a punt returner?

Let him just be a beast offensively....that is worth the #8 pick in itself....It is far from a "given" that a highly drafted RB who can line up all over the field offensively should be a return man as well.

Disagree.  A large part of the allure was his ability to upgrade our subpar return game.  He's not your typical workhorse, sledgehammer RB, and even they aren't drafted in the top 10 anymore unless they're a Fournette/Elliott level talent.

I mean Antonio Brown's on returns all the time too. Don't think it's all that improbable for CMC to do so too.
