Sobering Cam Newton stat...

crazy that Cam had more rushing TD's than any QB in their entire career in only 5 seasons. Him running wins us games. Id like to see us in-cooperate shorter routes and less 5-7 step drops but man once January comes around the lion must roar. We have the blue print on how to beat every top tier team, we cant be afraid to use it come play-off/elimination time.

False Cam brings defenders competitive nature out.. defenders try harder to get those hits in on scrabbling cam vs Derek Anderson scamper..

also cam can be dramatic at times so it's probably fun to see what you can get away with tagging him up..

A scrambling Cam Newton is not a designed run. That is my point. Watch all of the hits he takes. Almost all of them occur on designed pass plays.

Many of the dangerous ones do. However this is a count of total hits. His total hit count is high because he has run significantly more than anyone in that timeframe. He gets hit on pretty much every one of those runs. He has not been the most sacked QB. That can always and should be improved but that's not the reason for his high hit count.

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
