yeah but i'm unsure how comfortable they feel about cam's shoulder, that dive he did last game is probably the reason the coaching staff dial back his running early in the season. Might also be the reason we still try and establish the run to reduce wear on cam's shoulder. We're still a shifty, speedy wr away from being a team that can pass all 3 downs IMO, stacked box with immense pressure being put on cam he need's a quick outlet or a speedy shifty guy, CMC may be that guy by the end of the season i'm hoping. Also when teams stack the box i feel there's a bigger chance of breaking off the homerun run if blockers wouldn't wiff every run play

agree with the most part but instead of kelvin in slot and samuel outside i want to see more of samuel in the back field as a rb see what he has

Don’t give up the read/option...it’s effective and Id argue it’s the only time our running game works.

Get Kalil healthy and watch a pro bowl center pay dividends. If we’re going anywhere we need the running game to be effective and Kalil is a key cog for that. There’s a reason larsen is a backup. He got dominated by the philly OL and was a huge reason that we got zero push for Stewart. 

I agree with getting the ball out of Stewart’s hands but idk if giving it to CMC in typical run sets is the way to go. I’ve never seen CMC as a bt the tackles runner. It’s why I thought the write up comparing him to Fournette (In the observer) was off base. They’re completely different players. McCaffery is Darren Sproles...give him a huge hole and he’ll make you pay but he’s gonna be most effective running routes bc he’s such a mismatch on LBs and Safeties.  Fournette is Marshawn Lynch...hole or not he’s gonna pick up positive yardage. 

The way you get it out of Stew’s hands is to mix in some more misdirection and creativity with Samuel. It doesn’t have to be 10 touches a game. But give Samuel 2-5 touches a game in the backfield. He was a RB at OSU. Why not just put the ball in his hands and see what he can do?

It shows with Samuel as well...he has 4 total targets all year? The guy is Ted Ginn with better hands? What’s the issue with sending him long? I just don’t get the play calling...or some of Cam’s decisions...

Hoping it will be fixed with Kalil coming back in the mix and we can get a push up front.
