Simmons Idea for Cam

Simmons is a huge Cam/Panthers hater. This little piece does not make up for all his previous work. He can write a piece saying everyone still doubts him even after his epic 2015 season because he was one of the biggest doubters. For all of you who don't follow him, he hates the Panthers - probably since his Patriots had to cheat to beat us in 2004. No love given to Simmons on this. In fact, just because he wrote it, I hate it. Fug you Bill.

I don't disagree with you. Bill has a pretty pathetic vendetta against Charlotte sports. He hates the Panthers because our players accused the Patriots of cheating in 2004. Now why would that bother him so much if he didn't believe it was true.

Further he hates Charlotte because MJ pretty much took the air out of Larry Legend's status as one of the greatest to every play the game. He jumps at every chance to let everyone know how terrible of an owner MJ is.

One has to wonder that if Cam were on a team like Seattle how he would be perceived. A lot of this is I think Cam sticks out like a sore thumb with the personality of this coaching staff and consequently the team itself. Yea, Cam doesn't always act perfect by NFL QB standards, but on a lot of other teams he would be just another big personality on a team with a bunch of other big personalities.  I mean, would people really pay much attention to Cam if he had Richard Sherman on the sidelines acting crazy every other game and Pete Carrol skipping around on the sidelines and acting like a 13-year-old kid? I doubt it.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
