We have 2 receivers with same skill set playing X and Z. Believes you have to have different skill sets on the field as far as a bigger receiver and guy that can spread the field.

Was not shopping Kelvin, but the opportunity came. Not a move for the future, a move to try to get more points now.

How will carry into locker room?

 

Anytime you lose teammate and locker room, you miss him personally. Long run, it hinges on whether or not this move works.

Did you discuss with Cam? 

 

No, did not run it by Cam. Hasn't spoken to Cam yet. Ron and I meet and Ron and I agreed to move forward.

Re: the strange timing

Reducing someones role is a hard thing to do, especially receivers. Doesn't know if he could have reduced KB's role. We are hoping that guys can step up.

There is a next move, add a WR, haven't made final decision as to who it would be.

CMC? 

 

Offense is still evolving, have thought of using CMC more as a WR. Important part of passing game. Key is spreading the ball around. Hopefully if they can get someone to stretch the field it will help. 

CMC is a big part of the passing game, where he lines up depends on situation.

Curtis Samuel? 

 

The only way young players get better is with playing time, put them in positions to maximize strengths. We think he is a very good football player. Has a real passion for football.

What do you do with the extra cap room? 

Have not had in depth conversations with Norwell. You have to decide what positions to spend your money.

Couldn't listen so I don't know his voice tone but all his statements hold water and sound well thought out. Will await final judgement until we see how the offense responds.
