h3QUARTERBACK/h3 Grade: B Comment: Jake Delhomme turned in a gritty performance, personified by his 9-yard run for a first down with less than two minutes remaining that allowed Carolina to run out the clock. He mostly threw the ball well and didn't allow his lone interception, which led to a Redskins' touchdown, to discourage him.p/ h3RUNNING BACKS/h3 Grade: C minus Jonathan Stewart ran extremely hard and effectively in the fourth quarter after not finding much running room early. DeAngelo Williams had a costly fumble on the first play and ran hard thereafter, but couldn't break free for a long run. Fullback Brad Hoover nearly scored but fumbled the ball into the end zone for a turnover.

Only one I agree with is dline and linebackers.

Quarterback gets a C+. Started out with an F, second half brought it up to a C

Runningbacks get a C. Started out with an F, Stewarts hard running brought it up and was a key part of winning the game.

Receivers get a B+. They caught almost every catchable ball. Rosario and King are turning into some excellent pass catching tightends, even if they don't get used enough.

Oline gets a C-, as they did pick it up later and protected Jake relatively well in the 4th qtr.

Secondary B-. Not great coverage, but we blitzed a lot so there was a lot of one on one coverage. We didn't get burned for a big one.

Special teams gets a B. Kicking was excellent, and Moore's run sparked the comeback, and of course the whole punt thing. But they were rough at the start.

    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
    • Well, seeing as we play the Lions at home this year, pretty sure that rumor isn't true.
    • Totally possible imo, I also caught that snippet from Morgan where he said “If” we sign him. The lack of competition says otherwise tho 🤷‍♂️
