Ron Rivera is the very model of a Jerry Richardson head coach

All about that Shield.

You would one day think a reaction of some passion or loyalty to his team would occur, but that would be a foolish hope.

He wouldn't even defend his QB against an almost full 4-year attack on said QBs health.  Hell, he actually admitted he would have gladly participated in it if given "a shot".

So an incompetent NFL officiating crew blatantly "misses" (*nudge* *nudge* *wink* *wink*) a critical call resulting in disaster for his team and what is Ron's response?

To paraphrase: "They told me they didn't see it."  *shrug*

Way to carry that Shield on your shoulders, Ron.

Wow you almost made it halfway threw a post without making it about Cam I am very impressed. And what was he supposed to do throw the flag for the Refs or go full liberal and throw himself on the field and start kicking his feet and crying uncontrollably. That’s the difference between a Coach and a fan you somehow think the coach somehow has the ability to make a ref throw a flag after the fact I promise you he didn’t. Other than argue the call which he did. To the point Joe and Troy said look at Ron on the sideline.  But again you must have had your Cam deflection shades on and couldn’t see anything going on not Cam related.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
