The leading receivers for both teams in the SB are TEs.

True but you still need guys who

1. Catch the ball- Ashlon is among the best in the game right now in making contested catches.  We dont have anyone who even make a contested catch

2. Create seperation- Pats have Hogan, Amendola, Cooks. Eagles have Agholor and Smith.  We have? Thats right no one.

3. Run good routes

Your right the better run game would open it up Some.  You would see DBs bite on run fakes.  But you can't have a offense where your only hope of a passing game is your WRs only getting open on playfake and DBs biting.

Lets not think that teams are bringing on extra defenders to help cover.  Stewart is the NFLs leader in rushing into stacked boxes. Meaning 99% of the time our WRs are matched 1 on 1 with no safety help.  And they Still fail to get a step on a defender, and if/when they do, they drop it.

Put our WRs in philly and NE and those offenses wouldn't be remotely close to being as good as they are now.

Guess who won the game TEs.

Was it you who I told that Michel > Chubb?  Most people have finally figured this out, and the rankings and mocks are reflecting this opinion.

Speed, power,  hands and blocking.  Look at the scouting reports.

Not for Panthers scheme it’s Chubb but I wouldn’t be mad with Michel.

I agree but the production was down due to rookie play and Shula of course with no ideas about creating layered routes.

I think Samuel & Byrd will improve and have big time impact.

The only WR worth taking is Ridley.

Today’s passing offenses have become all about matchups and mismatchs.  Tall receivers have been countered by tall DBs.  Faster TEs and RBs are being countered by hybrid LB/Ss, but those matchups still favor the receivers.  When a team doesn’t have a matchup for big and fast it will continue to be exploited and that advantage can be the main reason for a team’s success.

The whole point of getting Action Jackson before a saftey was all about the ability to play man on defense. If you can leave a CB or perhaps both on Man coverage then you have ability to bring a safety (s) down for blitz, nickel or even play a LB role and move one of your Pro Bowl LB to eliminate a TE like Eartz & Gronk or take on top RBs like Elliot & Bell.
