Should Jerry Richardson be in the War Room?

I think everyone should just turn a blind eye and let Jerry go out his way.  He manned up and decided to sell the team.  Found a good new owner for us.  He brought the NFL to the Carolinas.  This story about JR is obviously bad.  He didn't drag it out.  He decided to sell.  He's old...let him have one last ride in the war room and say goodbye to something he built.  No one should talk about it...or acknowledge it.

Understood. But if he is guilty, what does that say to the victims?

If he was that guilty....why aren't the victims still speaking out? Also....if he was really guilty and not just old and out of touch the NFL would have taken over the sale of the team.  I think Jerry said some unwise things and the correct actions are being taken.

Well, the ones who signed NDAs can't, although one did let an SI reporter read their agreement (apparently not against the rules). Others who currently work for the team did, but anonymously for fear of reprisal.

Victim shaming is a huge thing these days. And when you accuse someone wealthy and powerful like Richardson, you can guarantee his lawyers will come after you full force.

I do think his being old is probably a factor, and maybe a big one. Lots of people lose their filters as they age, hence where we get our "dirty old men".

In the end, I'd agree it's better this way. That's assuming that Richardson doesn't get grumpy and screw things up, of course.
