A bit off topic but I’ve never seen a QB so universally praised by the media and fans alike that had 4 guys go ahead of him. Nobody says “yeah he has a good chance to develop into a solid starter” it’s always “HE WILL REVOLUTIONIZE THE GAME” like we’ve never seen somebody scramble before lol. All that said, I like the kids game a lot and I’ll miss seeing him be a genie on Saturdays for sure, but race and the whole “he’s a WR” bs seems to of played a huge role on his perception by people outside of front offices. Someone should publish a scientific article about the way we view white QB’s and black QB’s through different spectrums. Like why aren’t they discussing Josh Allen(6’5,245,4.7) running some QB power up in Buffalo? His athletic measurable and those darts he throws makes him look more like a Cam Newton  than any white QB I can think to compare him to, but people seem to have a hard time doing the cross racial comps when it comes to QB’s. /Rant

I think Lamar Jackson is riding the wave of hype from Deshaun Watson’s rookie year. I’ve heard a lot of comparisons between the two so you know if Watson didn’t have such a great rookie year, there wouldn’t be so much excitement about Jackson’s NFL potential.

That is because historically white qbs are better throwers and below average rushers while black qbs are better runners and below average throwers. Just the way it is really, with a few exceptions here and there. Also Allen is a decent bit slower than Cam..
