Continue to go after JR, they should.

the league cant touch JR after he is out of the league, a former employer cant do anything to you after you leave.

the league is going to wash this under the rug after the sale is final, we will never hear anything more about this then that. the people that think otherwise are just being wishful. the NFL has no interest in pursuing this further, the owners especially.

The league could technically conclude that the Panthers are guilty of wrongdoing because the NDAs were supposed to be reported to the league, and weren't.  That's a violation of the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.

That said, I don't think they want to punish Tepper for Richardson's actions.  Don't be surprised if the Panthers fire their current counsel though.  Word is Tina Becker tried but was told by the lawyers handling the sale that it could hurt the sale price (I personally think that's bulls--t).

As to the question of how to punish Jerry Richardson, there's a very easy answer to that.

Get those NDA's nullified.

Let the accusers tell the world what happened.

Force the man who's obsessed with his legacy to have to live with what he's done.

Yeah, he's got money, but he's a guy with an immense ego who lives for admiration.

You want him to feel it?  That's where you hit him.

if you think the NFL is going to do that youre crazy, you cant say that all the other 31 owners are squeaky clean, and I doubt they want to be the subject of an investigation themselves.

this will all be swept under the rug, simple as that, SSDD

I don't buy that they'll penalize the team.

But yeah, let the accusers talk, and that should do it.

JR holds the NDA not the league, they cant force him to release that, and he wont. last thing JR wants is his name in the news in a bad light.
