Jason McCourty is on the roster bubble

ESPN Boston considers CB Jason McCourty in danger of getting cut.

The Patriots swapped late-round picks with the Browns for McCourty back in March. Despite coming off a strong year, he's repped with the second-team defense in training camp. McCourty doesn't offer much on special teams, so it's possible the Patriots keep Jonathan Jones and UDFA JC Jackson over him. Releasing McCourty would clear $2.97 million in cap space.

McCourty is the kind of veteran, unathletic zone corner Ron drools over. He'd hit his spot and keep the receiver in front of him which is basically all the Panthers want their corners to be able to do. 

Just pray that Belichick doesn't call up hurn dog and see if he can squeeze a second for him.

How old is he? Seems weird to me a zone corner would fall off a cliff like that. Thought it was a great trade for the pats at the time especially since he would play with his brother. 

If he does get cut for whatever reason I think it would be looking into
