Steve Smith thought he might be traded.

I would have had mixed feelings personally if he would have been traded. First I would have been pissed because of how Smith has really been our O since 03. But at the same time he is 30 and it does appear he has lost a step and it is only a matter of time before what made him so good for so long (his speed and athleticism) starts to diminish more. So at least we would have traded him while he still had good trade value. But to do this would have spelled disaster to our already anemic offenses. It would have made a already one dimensional O even more one dimensional spelling disaster for this team.

Uhh, in games Moore played in '07...

New Orleans 0 catches 0 yards 0 TD (only 2 attempts though)

Tennessee 3 catches 15 yards 0 TD

Atlanta 5 catches 61 yards 0 TD

New Orleans 3 catches 30 yards 0 TD

Seattle 8 catches 72 yards 0 TD

Dallas 9 catches 137 yards 1 TD

Tampa Bay 5 catches 48 yards 0TD

Dallas and Seattle were the best showings, but otherwise just awful.

On average it's about the same stats as what smith's getting now. With a worse coordinator. Without the dink n' dunk stat-padding kid gloves. With an awful quarterback who can't get him the ball. ;)

Matt moore's first start was against Seattle. he won NFL Rookie of the Month for December.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
