Bobcats jerseys at Hornets games?

I was a Bobcats season ticket holder in 2010 when I lived in Charlotte.  I absolutely loved that team and have an authentic, autographed Tyson Chandler white Bobcats jersey.

I haven’t been to a Hornets game in a couple years... is it socially acceptable to wear Bobcats gear to a Hornets game?  Other teams do throwbacks, but I know the re-branding was a clean slate move.

Thoughts?

Heck yeah rock those out, those were some terrible seasons so you earned it.   Tyson was SO bad here though so it's funny lol.

It’s a really funny how I got the jersey, actually.

Me and some friends were bored one Saturday before that 2010 season, and we went to the team store to try and buy authentic jerseys because we were psyched about having season tickets and all that.

Of course, the Bobcats team store didn’t have anything like that for sale.  We were irritated but nobody stopped us when we walked up the steps from the store into the main concourse in TWC Arena.

Once up there, we saw none other than MJ himself (and what appeared to be a large bodyguard of sorts) walking away from us.  My friend (who was a bit of an ass) yelled “Hey Jordan!” (I was extremely embarrassed)

”How come we can pay tons of money on season tickets but we can’t even buy real jerseys?”

Jordan didn’t say anything to us but he said a couple words to the bid dude.  The big dude walked up to my friend and told him to come with him.  Next thing I know, Robbie (the friend) comes around the corner and has 3 authentic, autographed jerseys.  Apparently the dude had them in a cardboard box and said “I better not see these on eBay.”

Still have mine after 8 years.

    • The right answer is neither and drafting Maye with the #1 Pick of the 2024 Draft lmfao we traded away the #1 in a QB LOADED DRAFT
    • I have no idea why you are so irrationally upset about the notion that going out and spending $150 million free agency dollars on two interior offensive linemen could be construed as a panic response after our #1 pick we traded a fortune for had one of the worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years. It is objectively what transpired. Dan Morgan as of right now is a mixed bag. Some really good some so so some not so good some bad some really bad. You take any rational criticism personally like you are related to him or something. That's something you'll have to figure out for yourself. Anyways. The predicament Dan Morgan finds himself in for this year will define his future as GM. I sincerely hope he navigates it to perfection. But the circumstances are largely of his own creation. And not just in his stint as GM but going back to his time as assistant GM. Which conveniently people like yourself don't like to talk about. That is the reality of the situation. I like how you will carry water for Dan Morgan to the point of getting into random spats with people but make no mention of Bryce Young's glaring limitations and shortcomings as a starting QB yet go out of your way to put the onus of our struggles squarely on Canales. I mean I've been quite critical of Canales too but he sure isn't the only one to blame for our problems.
    • They weren't well thought out. We needed one, not both. 2 top center/guard candidates were going to be available in the 2nd. We would have been fine with JPJ or Frazier. Drafting either over XL or Brooks would have made perfect sense. Hell, drafting both would have made sense even if we had signed Lewis or Hunt. Instead we drafted a 1 year wonder project WR and a luxury RB that we didn't need since we had Hubbard. Draft IOL, pay tackles. Plenty of 2nd round guards and centers start immediately and play very well. Those 2 picks were not good then, now, no matter how much explaining anyone tries to do. Several of called it then.
