Took 9 years for the Panthers to make the Superbowl the first time. Took 12 years to get to their second. So by this math it'll be 15 years until they get to their next Superbowl. Here's to the magical 2030 season!

The problem with your logic is you’re looking at the wrong data i.e wrong team. You’re looking at a team that’s never had back to back winning seasons. The only real GMs (Polian and Gettleman) were not allowed free reign to do their jobs.

Even if we go by your logic, there are plenty of teams that turned it around immediately after wholesale changes were made.

KK was better in previous seasons because Star was able to take on a lot of double teams.

Poe plus the new system has drastically affected how well KK can rush the passer.

I think Poe and KK get a lot more blame than they deserve.  Star wouldn't be any more efficient than either one of them.  IMPO, the real problem is that we have no real pass rushing threat.  Nor do we have anyone that excels in sealing off the edges at DE.  So defenses don't have to utilize resources on the edges, which puts most of the attention and pressure on the DT's.

Peppers is still good, but only sporadically now.  Addison is either invisible or making a sack.  He doesn't really influence much otherwise.  To be fair, he's greatly improved his run defense, but it's still not anything special.  And nobody else at DE is worth much more than a practice squad slot.

Basically, we do not have one DE that demands extra attention from the offense, which puts an extra burden on our tackles.

You mean the GM/Coaching Staff, right?

There's so much talent on this roster wasted every Sunday.

Just GM, and give him the keys. I hope new GM cleans house. We have good pieces on offense, but our D needs some serious retooling. D-Jack is the only player with a pulse

The D#### lacks talent. Isn't it obvious?

The offense has improved. Just imagine what Norv would do in years 2 and 3 with this group.

Here is what will happen at the end of the season:

0. If he finishes the season strong (like beating the Saints at least once), Ron will keep his job.

1. New D Coordinator and completely new staff on D. I'm sure there are some head coaches that will get fired at the end of the season and could make excellent D coordinators.

2. Time to turnover the defensive roster and get younger. This should have started long time ago. See what Seattle has done this year. No Legion of Boom. No problem, their offense just needs to score more points. With good coaching staff, It takes about 10 games for the new kids to grow and mesh.

3. Find replacements for Luke + TD. Luke is struggling due to the many concussions. TD 's father time.

4. Get back to rushing the passer.
