Elite Team

3 pieces. That could be said for almost any team in the NFL.

Except for the Bills. You need a owner born this century, a coach, a GM smart enough not to bring in T.O. A defensive line, a quarterback, a clean running back, and enough fan support that your team does not have to go out of the country to sell tickets, and concessions!

Our defense Is coming around and starting to buy into the scheme. The running backs are superb. The O-line Is great. We are one good tide end, receiver, and a solid quarterback away from being an elite team, and possibly an dynasty.

Let's play a little with that. With Rosario coming into his own and King being used more effectively, we have a pair of tight ends who could easily be used as game changers. Check.

In the receiving corps, we have one proven veteran, one veteran who can still produce even though he is at the tail of his career, one new prospect who is starting to gain some well deserved notice, one RB who has yet to be given opporotunity to show full potential in the recieving game, and one guy who just isn't gonna cut no matter what is done. So....4 outta 5...check.

As for QB, well we all know where that is going.

I would hope your joking at the fan support as we sell out every game and we are one oft he most traveled fans out there, we make away games home games. I will agree we need a new owner and coach. Add in an offensive coordinator, and a somwhat average LT and we have an Elite team as well.

Is this a serious post?

    • I read that Pittsburgh is a possibility.  I think of college QB studs who had some form of mental quirk yet tons of talent--but their issue made being a team leader difficult and it led to their demise--going back:  Jamarcus Russell, Art Schlichter, Jeff George, etc. I think people forget that the QB must not only have talent, but they must lead.
    • I wish I knew more details, but the NIL money to 20-year olds combined with easy access to gambling sites is a side effect that these kids may not have considered.  To your point,A famous 2009 Sports Illustrated article titled “How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke” estimated that 78% of retired NFL players go bankrupt or face significant financial stress within two years of leaving the league.  I am guessing that ego and $$$ and the thrill of competition (most pro athletes love competition because they are the winners) makes it a powerful temptation.  Throw in the ease of gambling on your phone which is always in your hand, and I see your point x 10.
    • Freeling got some reps at RT when they gave Moton a rest day--I sorta hope Freeling gets brought along slowly as you describe.  It would be better for him for reasons you provide.  We have a really good problem.
