yes, but when Peppers took it the NFL had just banned it that offseason and it was still legal to take in the US

As you said, it could be tons of things, including steroids.

My position is if it were not steroids, he would provide evidence as such.  He has not done so. 

Have you ever stopped to wonder why has failed to take the opportunity to clear his name when if it were truly ephedra he could easily prove that?

Seriously, Pep never tested positive for any substances in the 16 years following that.  His play never dropped off and he didnt lose any body mass. So no, I have no doubt that Peppers never took steroids.

1-year ago today how much would you have bet that Thomas Davis never used steroids?  In 13 years he had never tested positive...

EDIT:  And don't get me wrong here, I am not suggesting that Julius has been a long term user of steroids.  He very well may not have used them again after he got caught early on, scared straight if you will.  All that said, I believe the use of steroids and HGH are so much more rampant then most would ever believe...PED58 didn't use them just once.
