Is Cam Newton Washed?

The usual suspects were always going to be out with the pitch forks for Cam if we lost. Anyone who has spent time around this fanbase knows that song and dance. People don't even try to hide it. I mean some even seem gleeful about it.

All we can do now is wait to see how the season unfolds. But if and when the time comes to replace Cam Newton, these fans that wait for him to make a mistake will not last through a young QB if they are this fickle. Anyone see how Baker Mayfield played today? Young QB's require patience. If anyone of you think we're just going to back our way into another Patrick Mahomes dueling with Tom Brady like a vet right out of the gate you will be very disappointed.

It's so funny to see the Pro Cam crowd.  They don't even bring up any stats, just conspiracy theories on how everyone is out to get them.

this.  even without being in hurry up, he is highly effective in the no huddle; but the coaching strategy is playing not to lose, so you only go no huddle after it's too late to come back.

People don't understand this at all.  This microwave mentality is out of control.... with one of the most difficult positions in all of football.   Fans have no idea how good we have it with Cam right now.  Wait till he's gone.   That's going to be a dark time.

They did the same thing with Cam. Remember in the preseason when Hogan and Scarlett were going to break out. They can't even get off the bench with this staff.

This should be talked about more within the fanbase.  It's absurd and you're right.

I will say this.  He doesn’t look like the old Cam. I will hold judgement right now.  But he certainly needs to get better over the coming weeks.  

I do think he has lost some his strength, at least from today. And he never had good touch. And today had no touch and accuracy issues.  

Im not throwing in the towel. It can take him some time to get that trust back after not being able to trust his arm last year.  But anytime you are throwing something in sports, sometimes it just doesn’t come back.  

He may have the swag off the field.  But I haven’t seen the swag on the field in a long time.  

Hope he gets it back soon.

Can you guys wait about half-way of the season to judge Cam? Damn your expectations are ridiculous high. He just changed his motion coming off surgery and little to no live game time. Why did you think in the 1st game he was going to go against the defending NFC champions and light it up?
