If we were missing CMC, Olsen, and Samuel, while starting Kyle Allen, playing against the Pats D in Foxboro....I cannot imagine that Kyle would look good either.

He seems like he has a great arm and can make every throw, but his decision-making and reads have been pretty bad at times...which isn't unusual for a rookie.  If he can fix that (with experience), he'll be good.  If not, his career will be a pretty mixed bag of alternating jaw-dropping and face-palming plays.
