Is 2019 really “All or Nothing”?

There was a lot of talk going into this season that 2019 was playoffs/SB or bust. Moves Hurney made like signing Irvin, GMC, Paradis were supposed to be proof of this.

Now that the team is 5-5 and just lost to the Cons again our playoff chances are slim to none. One more loss and it’s all but over.

But I’m still not assuming that Tepper will clean house like so many here say he will.I think he gives Ron and Marty another year to get the pieces needed. I’m going out on a limb here and saying that Ron and Marty will be here in 2020 no matter what happens.

Not saying that’s what I want, just what I think will happen.

It was AON for Ron and Hurney.... No one else.

Hurney is done in the NFL.  Ron will get another gig because (for no other reason than) he lasted 9 years in the same place.

Just be glad that Hurney WAS NOT ALLOWED to destroy the salary structure like he has EVERY OTHER TIME.

Shame on us for believing Tepper had some kind of magical insight.   He knows less about the Panthers, and football,  than some posters on this board.

Why the fug are people slamming Tepper all of the sudden? Dude has owned this team for two years. And while he hasn’t fired the coaching staff or GM yet (it’s coming) he hasn’t hired them either. He inherited this mess. Now after one and a half seasons you can say he has no idea what he’s doing? Lol what are you on about?

Edit: Wait, I just read your username. Says it all. Reactionary fan to your core I assume.

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
