The main reason being in every one of the last 6 games, the Panthers have been down by 2+ scores at some point in the game and were forced to pass to try and catch up. Losing tends to mean more passing and more stats.

Look at the top 10 and I would wager 9 of the 10 have more production on the year while the team has been trailing.  Top 20 and it probably can be said for 15 of them too.
