Bradberry drawing significant interest ahead of free agency. Not expected to be back with the Panthers

We can franchise tag him and try for a late 3rd / early 4th rounder this year. Obviously there's risk, and maybe we get stuck with a 1 year contract or a 6th or 7th rounder if teams aren't willing to trade what we're expecting. OR we let him go in Free Agency, and get the equivalence of an end-of-round pick in the 3rd or 4th round of the 2021 draft.

Plan A:
Sign & Trade = High Risk

Plan B:
Let him walk = Low Risk

Since we're not in a win-now situation, taking the low risk road is probably the better one for the long term. I say only do a tag & trade if another team makes it clear they're already on board.

P.S. Many judge Bradberry because he doesn't have many interceptions. But that's because of tight coverage.  If we're not trying to win, cut Cam and give Bradberry 5 years, a 15 million dollar signing bonus and 15 million salary. That would make his hit 11.25 for 4 years... If we're gonna suck let's get ahead on contracts and cut old farts.

Bradberry doesn't have many interceptions because he gets locked in on the receiver and doesn't get his head around to find the football in the air.  If you think that's not the reason you have not watched any games in the last 4 years.  He doesn't panic and grab receivers and get many penalties but if it's not an in or out breaking route where he can see the QB through the receiver he is not getting the pick unless it's a tip.

Also contracts don't work like what you are saying.  Shaq got a contract last year that averages 12 million a year.  His hit in 2020 is $7 million.  If Bradberry get $15 million a year his first year hit would be $10 million at the most.  All contacts are built like that so the player can be cut in the last year or 2 of his contract and the team can save money against the cap if he is no longer preforming up to the value of the contract.
