The old guard (Rivera, Gettleman) seem to have pissed off their fanbases

Glad both are no longer here. It was telling for me when Gettleman passed on Rivera for HC. Ive said before if you could get both Marty and Dave working together (while focused on each strengths), that would be a great match. I was completely done with Gettleman after he picked Jones(who looks lots better than I thought), he took over a AWFUL roster form the former GM Marc. That maybe was the worst 53 in the league, Jets where bad during that time too. 

Ron is showing why he was passed over 8 times for HC. The biggest issue with him is he lost being able to field a great defensive. Hes always been lost on offensive, must have a OC to lead the practices. A goodman off-field, just not a great HC material. Plus hes now the GM and had a awful draft outside of the gimme Young pick. SO far hes been terrible there too with all the free agents he brought in....and traded for Kyle Allen..

      Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.

      I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.

      Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
