we have mastered - playing "not to lose"

How many got points? outscored 24-3 that's conservative, but you go ahead and continue to defend this poo. I have had enough of going in circles with all the Fox/Jake ball snuggers.

So your definition of conservative bs is improperly executed bs.

Most people consider conservative to be calling generally safe plays like runs and high percentage passes.

You can have your own definition if you like never mind the facts.

I am so sick and tired of hearing Fox is the most successful coach in the history of the Panthers!

Damn.........he's been here 8 out of 14 years you f**king morons!

John Fox is the most successful HC in our history. Said it again. I want him gone as bad as anyone but I also still think he is a good HC. If he could have gotten a Franchise QB we would be talking about him as the greatest Coach in the league (fan homerism but still). A great QB like Manning or Brady makes a coach look like a genius. Were a guy like Jake makes you look like a dumb ass.

We have failed - playing "not to lose" How many of those games do we lose? You just can't play that way in the NFL against the best teams in the game. I would have thought Fox would have figured that out by now...but after 7.5 years if he hasn't learned that, he never will. Foxball is a failure and needs to be forgotten and dumped into the trash heap.

Same thing happened yesterday in New York, Giants vs Chargers.

2 minutes to go 17-14 Giants. Giants have the ball 3rd and goal at the 9 yard line. What do they do, pass into the endzone for a possible game clinching touch down? No, they go Draw, fail, and kick a field goal to go up 20-14.

Rivers drives the Chargers down the field in under 2 minutes for a game winning touch down, 21-20 Chargers.

I would imagine the entire Giant team would have liked a realistic opportunity to put that game away.

    • This And with possibly needing to replace Bryce next year and a deep QB class, I do not hate the idea of moving far enough back to pick up another 1st rounder next year out of the deal. I wouldn't have said that a week ago, but I also never expected us to land 3 big FA's at our 3 biggest positions of need like we have, it totally changes things.
    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
